The Heanor 5 mile race is a popular event in the summer calender. Now into it's 12th year and growing year on year it takes in the idylic setting of Shipley Hall Cricket Club. The 5 mile race is run over a figure of eight course through Shipley Park finishing at Cricket Club. While the shorter 2 mile fun run which also finishes there is open to all ages.
