To celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee this summer, Heanor Running Club will be hosting the first ever Heanor RC Jubilee 10K on Friday 13th July.
Starting and finishing at Shipley Hall Cricket Club, this new route will take in parts of Shipley Country Park and the surrounding area and will be sponsored by local running specialists Up & Running. The race will be followed by a presentation and Chunder Mile contested around the cricket pitch.
Supported by Mick Hall photos and Runners World, the Jubilee 10K and 2 mile fun run hopes to commemorate the Queen's 60th anniversary year in style and establish itself as a permanent fixture on the East Midlands summer road racing calendar.
