After defying all that Storm Claudia could throw at us the 38th Matthew Walker Pudding Run 10K was a great success. This was mainly thanks to the army of volunteers who put in a 12 hour shift at Shipley Park clearing the course and making it good to go!

It then meant that Race Day could be all about the runners and 875 of them ran round to claim their magnificent Matthew Walker Pudding. They should all be really proud of themselves.

We at Heanor Running Club hope you’re getting as excited as we are as the highlight of our year fast approaches.

A few bits of information for you.

You will receive an email next week with everything you’ll need to know for Race Day including:

• How to get all the Race Day Information – this is already on the website but we’ll remind you again next week.

• Race number collection details – top tip will be to arrive early

• News of what will be in the “Race Village”

Remember that entries close this coming weekend (10th November) so if you know someone who’s thinking about entering give them a nudge!

If you’ve requested a transfer etc. these will be processed once entries close and before the pre-Race email is sent out.

As usual there will be a 1.5 mile Fun Run – Entries will open on the day from 8am and it will be cash only.
