Stuart King led home a HRC 1-2-3 at Trent Meadows, Long Eaton yesterday as the yellow and blue claimed both team category honours.

The men wrestled back control of overall top-spot after a disappointing fourth-placed finish in the previous fixture as the ladies, led by Lisa Palmer once more, established a healthy and almost unassailable advantage over nearest rivals North Derbyshire with two races remaining.

An impressive twenty five HRC runners competed, picking up club championship points along the way. Simon Lloyd grabbed the last team scoring spot with a terrific 21st on his BDL debut as Wendy Roethenbaugh and Jill Burke took first place in their respective age categories.

The next fixture will be a new one on the calendar at Allestree Park, Derby on 12th January.
