Five Heanor RC runners crossed the county border to the University of Nottingham last Friday night for the 11th edition of the Jagermeister 10k, hosted by Formula One CC.

Tim Holling followed up his fastest leg at the Masters Relays last month with a cool top-ten finish in 35:56 as racing-machine Carl Hughes (40:51) equalled his third fastest time of the year over an undulating course to finish 35th.

Just fourteen seconds separated Rose Leivers and Lizzie Poole at the Colin Potter 10k last month and the duo enjoyed another close battle on Friday. Rose (47:35) narrowly beat Lizzie (47:43) once again to finish 11th female and 125th overall, with Lizzie finishing just four places behind.

Abbie Leivers completed the quintet’s efforts, finishing 196th out of 408 finishers in 51:35.
