Lily Winfield and Emily Deeming enjoyed another PB-breaking evening at the Paula Radcliffe Stadium in Loughborough on Wednesday night at the latest Charnwood AC Open meet.

Lily, who had already ran personal bests over 800m and 1500m at the same meet in the previous two months, was in great form once again as she smashed her 1500m best.

Lily’s best performance in 2013 for the three and three-quarter lap distance was 5:18.24 but she lowered that by twelve seconds in May to win the U13G Derbyshire County Championship title.

On the Loughborough University track last Wednesday, Lily took another chunky five seconds from her best to shoot inside the top-10 in the UK for her age with a cracking 5:01.09.

Not to be outdone, Emily recorded two new personal bests to continue her great 2014 summer form that has already seen her lower her bests over 100m, 200m, 800m and 1500m.

Emily’s time of 28.9 secs in the 200m was a half-second improvement on her previous best and meant she went sub-29 for the first time. Another swift time of 46.46 for 300m (which equates to a 61 second 400m) saw the U15 clock double-PB success.

The next – and final – Wednesday night Charnwood AC Open of the season will take place on 13 August. 100m, 200m, 800m, and 3,000m races are set to be on the schedule.
