Lily Winfield and Wendy Mullineux were the star performers in the opening time trial of the year as both set new category records over the three mile course in pleasant conditions on Shipley Park.
With only a slight breeze and a little mud along the train lines in the final mile to speak of, Lily clocked 18:47 to knock 34 seconds off her own previous U13G best set last summer as Wendy Mullineux sneaked five seconds off Liz Radbourne’s eight-year old SL record to cross the line in 18:51.
