Eight HRC juniors put in a fantastic morning of racing at the second Derbyshire Cross Country Mini League fixture of the season at Moorways, Derby today (30/11).

Danielle Smith made it two from two in the U15 girls category & sits top overall ahead of the final fixture at Rutland Park on February 15th. In the same race, Emily Deeming ran much-improved to finish a clear third (& lies in the bronze medal position overall).

The trio of Karra Hughes, Elisabeth Hughes and Phoebe Winfield finished within eleven seconds of each other in 13th, 15th and 16th respectively in the U11 girls race.

In the U13 girls category, Lily Winfield finished 3rd to sit second in the overall standings whilst Dylan George followed up fourth in the opening fixture at Tupton School to finish fifth.

The final race of the day was the U9’s fun run and saw Lewis George lead from start to finish.
