Another cracking turn-out of thirty-five runners tackled the latest BDL road race at Ilkeston Rugby Club on Tuesday (13/05) as Stuart King and Louise Insley led the men’s and women’s teams to a second convincing team victory in succession.

Matching the number of runners that ran in the previous fixture at Teversal Grange last month, the yellow and blue were magnificently represented and the strength-in-depth is an encouraging sign.

Stuart showed no hangover from his track 10,000m debut last weekend and improved on his sixth-place finish last time out to head a HRC 1-2-3-4. British Masters V40 10k champ, Louise, finished almost two minutes ahead of her nearest rival to secure her first individual BDL victory of the season.

The next fixture will take place on Tuesday 10th June at Denby Pottery but before that is the first Pub Run of the summer this Friday (16/05) to the Dead Poets, Holbrook.
